Itinerary

Day 1 DARWIN.
This afternoon, take a tour of the highlights of Darwin and visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. Later, join your Tour Director for a welcome drink. (D)

Day 2 DARWIN / NITMILUK NATIONAL PARK / KATHERINE.
Stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, then on to Nitmiluk National Park. Enjoy a cruise on Katherine Gorge, as the walls reflect the colors of the afternoon sun. (B,D)

Day 3 KATHERINE / LAKE ARGYLE / KUNUNURRA.
This morning, visit the historic Durack Homestead. Then travel to Lake Argyle, Australia’s largest man-made lake. Next, board a cruise along the Ord River to picturesque Kununurra, watch for wildlife along the way. (B,D)

Day 4 KUNUNURRA.
A tour shows you the Ord River Irrigation Scheme, Hidden Valley National Park and Kelly’s Knob Lookout. (B,D)

Day 5 KUNUNURRA / WYNDHAM / EL QUESTRO RANCH.
Travel to Parry Lagoon Nature Reserve to see the birdlife of this region and learn about traditional lifestyles. Continue to Wyndham and stop at the Five Rivers Lookout for the panoramic view. Next, visit Warriu Park to see the Dreamtime Statues and rock art. This afternoon, travel to the outback station of El Questro. (B,D)

Day 6 EL QUESTRO RANCH.
Enjoy a cruise through the wilderness of Chamberlain Gorge, only accessible by boat. This afternoon is at leisure. You can relax by the pool and catch up on your postcards. For the energetic, hike to Emma Gorge for a swim. (B,D)

Day 7 EL QUESTRO RANCH / HALLS CREEK.
Visit the Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine, the largest in the world. Take a guided tour of the mine and see the diamond display. Then continue on to the township of Halls Creek. (B,L,D)

Day 8 HALLS CREEK / GEIKIE GORGE CRUISE / FITZROY CROSSING.
Enjoy a cruise on the Fitzroy River, through ancient and spectacular Geikie Gorge. (B,L,D)

Day 9 FITZROY CROSSING / DERBY / BROOME.
Travel to the port of Derby and see the famous Boab Prison Tree. Then, on to the tropical resort town of Broome. See Chinatown and Streeters Jetty, then the rest of the day is free. (B)

Day 10 BROOME.
Today is at leisure to explore this tropical hideaway at your own pace. Take a stroll along the pristine sand and swim in the turquoise blue waters of Cable Beach. Wander through Chinatown or shop for pearls. At the end of the day sit back, relax and watch the spectacular sunset over the Indian Ocean. You might want to take a camel ride along Cable Beach (own expense). (B)

Day 11 BROOME / PORT HEDLAND.
Skirt the Great Sandy Desert, heading to Port Hedland, an important shipping outlet. (B,D)

Day 12 PORT HEDLAND / MARBLE BAR / NEWMAN.
Leaving Port Hedland, stop at Marble Bar, named after the bar of jasper crossing the Coongan River. Continue on to the town of Newman. (B,D)

Day 13 NEWMAN / TOM PRICE.
Start the day with a tour of the Mt. Whaleback mining operation, the largest open-cut iron ore mine in the world. Then journey into Karijini National Park. Enjoy views of the spectacular gorges, waterfalls and rock pools. Then continue on to Tom Price. (B,L,D)

Day 14 TOM PRICE / EXMOUTH.
Your first stop today is a visit to Giralia Station, an area of outstanding biodiversity with many different species of flora and fauna. Then travel to Exmouth, set on the boundary of Cape Range National Park and the Ningaloo Marine Park. (B,L,D)

Day 15 EXMOUTH / NINGALOO REEF / MONKEY MIA.
Travel to Coral Bay, a quaint seaside town and board a sub-sea viewer over Ningaloo Reef. Observe the abundance and variety of marine life that inhabits these tropical waters and marvel at the brilliant display of colorful coral formations. Then, continue to Monkey Mia. (B,D)

Day 16 MONKEY MIA.
This morning, interact with the bottlenose dolphins of Monkey Mia (subject to appearance). The balance of the day is free. (B)

Day 17 MONKEY MIA / KALBARRI / GERALDTON.
Visit Hamelin Pool to see the stromatolites. Your next stop is at spectacular Shell Beach, made up of billions of shells. Later, visit Kalbarri National Park for breathtaking views over the Murchison River. Then, continue to the coastal town of Geraldton. (B,D)

Day 18 GERALDTON / THE PINNACLES / PERTH.
Travel to Nambung National Park and view the mystical Pinnacles. Next, in Yanchep National Park, enjoy an Aboriginal cultural experience. Meet Aboriginal guides, who will share with you their way of life in a traditional community. Then on to Perth. (B,D)

Day 19 DEPART PERTH.
After breakfast, take a guided tour of the highlights of Perth. Then, transfer to Perth Airport to connect with your onward flight. (B)
